All Are Encouraged to Explore Online Offerings
BOSTON--(Business Wire)--
The International Microwave Symposium (IMS) will introduce its first-ever
Presentations Online at IMS2009. The program will provide online access to
recordings of most technical presentations, workshops and short courses held
during IMS. IMS2009, the annual conference and exhibition of the IEEE Microwave
Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S), is the centerpiece of Microwave Week, and
will be held June 7 to 12 in Boston at the new Boston Convention and Exhibition
Center.

"We are excited to offer Presentations Online for the first time ever at IMS,"
said Charlotte Blair, Virtual Participation Chair for IMS2009 and Eastern US
Technical Sales and Applications with Sonnet Software. "It is our hope that this
will allow more people to participate in all that IMS has to offer and to expand
our global community`s opportunities for collaboration."

The Presentations Online option will provide access to audio recordings with
slide materials of many technical presentations, workshops and short courses
held at IMS2009, available through a secured IEEE.tv Web site. In addition, IMS
will provide free viewing of the MicroApps and plenary sessions.

Registration

All technical session registrants will be able to view the session recordings
online for a modest fee. IMS2009 attendees will be able to purchase online
technical presentations, workshops and short courses at a discount after the
conference at Presentations Online.

Advance registration for IMS2009 is available until June 5. In addition to
IMS2009, Microwave Week includes the collocated RFIC Symposium and the ARFTG
Conference. A new SuperPass option gives attendees access to all that Microwave
Week has to offer with a 15 percent discount. For more details on IMS2009
