Tricor Ten Section Hub, LLC Holds Open Season for Western U.S. Hub Natural Gas
Storage Service

KERN COUNTY, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Tricor Ten Section Hub, LLC
(Tricor) is announcing a non-binding open season for its planned natural gas
storage and Hub facility located in Kern County, Calif. ten miles southwest of
Bakersfield, Calif.

The Ten Section field was discovered in 1936 by the Shell Oil Company. Over
the next 41 years the Shell Oil Company cycled natural gas to deplete the
reservoir. Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and Pacific Lighting Corporation,
(then parent company of Southern California Gas Company (SoCal)) both Local
Distribution Companies (LDCs), in 1977 acquired the field for the development
of underground natural gas storage which storage began in 1977 and went on
through to 1982. Due to changing economic market conditions, the two
distribution companies sold the field to McFarland Energy for oil and gas
production. In 1997 the field was purchased by Tricor for the underground
storage of natural gas.

The gas storage facility is strategically located in the south central part of
the state near the confluence of two interstate pipelines, Kern River Gas
Transmission Company and Mojave Pipeline Company and the two major intrastate
pipeline systems of PG&E and SoCal Gas. Also, three major interstate
pipelines deliver gas to the California border for delivery to the two
intrastate systems. These three, Gas Transmission Northwest, El Paso Natural
Gas Co., and Transwestern Pipeline Company access gas supply areas and markets
from the Rocky Mountains, the midwest, the northwest, the southwest, and from
Canada.

Tricor plans to file for a Section 7(c) certificate with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (FERC) shortly. Initially, Tricor plans to interconnect
with Kern River and Mojave interstate pipelines located approximately 21 miles
southwest of the Ten Section Storage Field thereby initiating interstate
storage service to customers in the adjoining Western states region.
Depending on the results of this Open Season, Tricor may consider offering
storage service to intrastate customers by connecting to the PG&E and SoCal
pipeline systems.

The Ten Section field is a large California oil and gas field spread over ten
sections of land south of Bakersfield. The natural gas storage facility will
contain 32.5 Bcf of storage gas of which 22.4 Bcf will be working gas. Tricor
will drill twenty-five new horizontal wells, rework seven vertical wells and
add almost 42,000 h.p. of compression. Upon completion, the storage facility
will provide four cycles per year with a maximum withdrawal rate of 1.0 Bcf
per day and a maximum injection rate of 0.8 Bcf per day. Assuming a FERC
certificate issues by February 2010, Tricor estimates that initial service
could commence in January 2012.

The Open Season will commence June 1, 2009 and end at 5:00 pm (PDT) on
September 30, 2009. More information can be found at the company's website
