premier health information network, today announced an agreement with Thomson

Health plans that support CareCost Estimator today calculate treatment
estimates using their internal systems and deliver the information to Availity
to display to the provider in real-time. This gives providers the information
they need to collect the patient's financial responsibility at the point of
care, helping to improve the practice's cash flow and accounts receivable. The
integration of the Cost Calculator helps Availity respond to those health
plans that need solutions for generating the treatment estimates.

"Patients need accurate, customized cost estimates to make informed decisions
about their care," said Russ Thomas, president and chief operating officer for
Availity. "Working with Thomson Reuters is another step Availity is taking to
advance cost transparency and improve provider and patient satisfaction."

"We are delighted to work with Availity to help advance transparency in health
care," said David Crean, senior vice president for the Health Care and Science
business at Thomson Reuters. "Integrating the Treatment Cost Calculator within
the Availity portal and the provider workflow helps to further our shared
mission of delivering reliable health information in real-time."
