National Contest Supports Ed Gordon's Daddy's Promise Initiative

CINCINNATI, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Bounty(R) paper towels announced today the
winners of their national contest, "Bounty's Promise." Created to celebrate
the special father/daughter bond, the nationwide search supports acclaimed
journalist, Ed Gordon's Daddy's Promise initiative. During Father's Day
Weekend 2009, the selected winners will receive an all-expense paid trip to
New York City and a prize package. The prize package includes VIP tickets to
the Daddy's Promise Dance held at the 100 Black Men Conference in New York; a
dining experience and a Bounty cooking demonstration at B. Smith's restaurant;
a father & daughter salon visit; afternoon tea at the American Girl Boutique
and Bistro; a shopping spree; air and ground transportation; and hotel
accommodations in Manhattan.

During the contest, moms and loved ones nominated their favorite father and
daughter duo by submitting a photo of the father and daughter and including a
caption (50 words or less) telling Bounty why the special dad and daughter
deserves to win the Bounty's Promise contest.

"Bounty is proud to honor the winners of the Bounty's Promise contest and to
support Daddy's Promise in creating a national conversation celebrating the
unique role fathers and father figures play in the journey girls take to
womanhood," says Eric Higgs, Bounty Brand Manager. "Bounty understands the
importance of supporting initiatives aimed at celebrating and strengthening
families within the African American community."

Launched on June 12, 2008 by television journalist, Ed Gordon, Daddy's Promise
is designed to engage the African American community in the positive
relationship that can and should exist between fathers/father figures and
daughters. The initiative encourages fathers to be active in their daughter's
lives. As title sponsor, Bounty is committed to helping families clean up the
little messes and spills in life so they can focus on the quality time that
makes the father/daughter relationship strong, loving, fun and enduring.

"Fathers play a crucial role in their daughters' success, both personal and
professional," says Ed Gordon. "We want to acknowledge the tremendous impact
that the father-daughter bond can have in helping girls grow into resilient,
confident women and to facilitate the first steps in establishing healthy
relationships between girls and the men who help raise them."
