PACIFIC GROVE, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- During the month of June,
California American Water customers will receive a Consumer Confidence Report,
inserted with their monthly water bill. The reports, which are required for
the majority of water systems in the United States by the Environmental
Protection Agency, aim to educate customers about where their water comes from
and what's in it.

"It's our privilege to deliver water that meets or exceeds all state and
federal standards," said California American Water General Manager, Craig
Anthony. "We're also committed to providing the infrastructure replacements
and improvements needed to deliver reliable water service and stay ahead of
new regulations."

Consumer Confidence Reports provide detailed information about each
community's drinking water source, the treatment it requires and the results
of testing and measurements for over 100 compounds and contaminants. The
reports contain data for water provided in the previous calendar year.
