In that capacity, he also played key roles in formulating and implementing Justice Department policies relating to violent crime, capital punishment, explosives, firearms and civil liberties. Additionally, Mr. Dhillon served as the first chief counsel and deputy staff director for the House Select Committee on Homeland Security, policy director for the U.S. House Republican Policy Committee, and senior investigative counsel for the House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight. As an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Mr. Dhillon led complex, multiple-defendant prosecutions involving money laundering, alien smuggling, major narcotics trafficking organizations, and violent criminal activity.
