The leadership of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) will
address media during a press conference to be held on Tuesday, June 2nd,
at 10:30 AM.
Paul Moist, National President of CUPE and Sid Ryan, President of CUPE
Ontario, will join James Wood and Jean Fox, leaders of CUPE local 82 and
local 543, representing Windsor municipal workers.

CUPE local 82, representing outside workers, has been on strike since
Wednesday, April 15th. Their colleagues of local 543, the inside workers,
joined the picket line on Saturday, April 18th.
CUPE is Canada's largest union, representing around 590,000 workers in
sectors such as municipalities, health care, education, libraries,
universities, social services, public utilities, transportation,
emergency services and airlines.
