AARP to Host Cross-Generational 'Life Festival' in Chicago, June 5-6

Event Will Feature Nearly 100 Exhibits, Career Fair, Forums on Health Care and
Financial Security, and Free Health Screenings 

***R&B/Gospel Duo Mary Mary to Headline Entertainment***

CHICAGO, June 1 /PRNewswire/ --

OVERVIEW:  AARP will bring its "Life Festival" event to Chicago on Friday and
Saturday,  June 5-6. This two-day, cross-generational celebration will feature
high-profile speakers such as TV personalityJames Brown (J.B. of CBS
Sports/Showtime's Inside the NFL); author, educator and entrepreneur Stedman
Graham; President of Ariel Investments and Financial Contributor to ABC's Good
Morning America, Mellody Hobson; nationally syndicated radio personality, Tom
Joyner; UnitedHealth Group's executive vice president and chief of medical
affairs, Dr. Reed Tuckson; inspirational and motivational speaker, Patricia
Russell-McCloud; and entertainment from R&B/Gospel duo Mary Mary.

Additionally, the AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour bus will be on-site to provide
six free health screenings to attendees. Festival activities for attendees
also include a "marketplace;" forums addressing health, wellness and financial
security topics; and a career fair to provide individual and group career
counseling advice as well as assist jobseekers with using the Internet in
their online job searches.
