Lancaster County Pharmacy Sells Winning $8.26 Million Super 7 Ticket

First Jackpot-Winning Ticket Sold for New Terminal-Based Game
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., June 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Lottery
officials today announced that Royer Pharmacy, 335 W. Main St., Leola,
Lancaster County, sold the sole jackpot-winning ticket for the May 29 Super 7
drawing worth $8.26 million.
Friday's winning ticket matched seven of the 11 winning numbers,
02-04-09-12-17-19-24-28-41-42-53. The winning ticket was purchased with the
annuity option for an $8.26 million prize, less 25 percent federal
withholding.
The ticket is the first jackpot-winning Super 7 ticket sold since the game
debuted on March 13.
Royer Pharmacy, a Lottery retailer since 2004, will receive a $10,000 bonus
for selling the winning jackpot ticket.
Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the May 29 winner until the
prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. No claim has been filed. Super 7
winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
The Lottery encourages the holder of the jackpot-winning Super 7 ticket to
sign the back of the ticket, contact a financial advisor, then call the PA
Lottery at (717) 702-8146. Super 7 jackpot prizes may be claimed at Lottery
headquarters - 1200 Fulling Mill Rd., Middletown, Dauphin County - or at any
of Lottery's seven area offices. Claims may be filed Monday through Friday,
between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at headquarters and between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
at area offices.
The Super 7 jackpot returns to a $1 million annuity and estimated $490,000
cash prize for the Tuesday, June 2, drawing. Live, televised Super 7 drawings
are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 6:59 p.m., along with The Daily
Number, BIG 4, Quinto, and CASH 5.
How to play Super 7: Players receive one play for $2. Players select seven
numbers from 1 to 77, or they may elect the quick-pick, computer-selection
method. To win the jackpot - which starts at $1 million annuity and grows
until it is hit - players must match seven of the 11 numbers drawn; the pool
of numbers available to play ranges from 1 to 77. Odds of winning the jackpot
prize are 1-in-7,287,298; overall odds of winning any prize are 1-in-20.2.
