NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas--(Business Wire)--
CEO, Founder and President of The SCOOTER Store Doug Harrison received the Ernst
& Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award in the other/healthcare category in
Austin. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding
entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Harrison

Harrison founded America`s leading supplier of scooters and power chairs for

to a multi-million dollar company with more than 2,000 employees in 48 states
plus Puerto Rico that has changed the lives of more than 400,000 customers. The
company is also 40 percent owned by its employees.

"I am honored to receive this award, and I accepted it on behalf of all of my
fellow employee-owner entrepreneurs at The SCOOTER Store," said Harrison. "It is
humbling to be among so many gifted and ambitious entrepreneurs of South Texas."

Other Austin regional winners include Brett Hurt, co-founder and CEO of
Bazaarvoice, Craig Malloy, co-founder and CEO of Lifesize, and Melvin White,
founder of Digital Workforce. The award encourages entrepreneurial activity
among those with potential and recognizes the contributions of people who
inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. The program has
expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries
throughout the world.

Harrison and other regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the
Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program. Award winners in
the national categories will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm
Springs, California on November 14, 2009.
