Annual Girls Inc. "College Shower" Event Celebrates Graduating High School Seniors From Underserved Communities in Los Angeles Who Are Going to College in the Fall LOS ANGELES, June 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Every single one of the 70 Los Angeles Girls Inc. 2009 high school seniors are going to college with scholarships. Many will be the first in their family to even attend college. WHAT: Volunteers of America of Greater Los Angeles and Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles are hosting the College Shower Ceremony and Luncheon to acknowledge the Girls Inc. high school grads. The girls have chosen Renee Fraser of Fraser Communications, one of LA's most preeminent women-owned businesses, (who will conduct a mentoring/ Q&A session for the girls) to receive the "Mentor of the Year" award at the shower in recognition of the hope and inspiration her success provides for the women leaders of tomorrow.
