The Ukraine Opportunity Trust PLC

The Company was informed on 29 May 2009 that Mr Gordon Lawson, a Director and
Chairman of the Company, purchased 30,000 Ordinary $0.01 shares at a price of
US$2.00 each on 29 May 2009.

As a result of this transaction Mr Gordon Lawson has a beneficial interest in
50,000 Ordinary shares, representing 0.80% of the issued class of share.
