Seoul shares rise; autos, energy issues rally

SEOUL, June 1 | Mon Jun 1, 2009 2:07am EDT

SEOUL, June 1 (Reuters) - Seoul shares rose on Monday, with auto issues rallying on news that General Motors (GM.N) would file for bankruptcy protection and solid May sales data, while energy issues also advanced.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index .KS11 (KOSPI) finished up 1.38 percent at 1,415.10 points.
