Gazprom's gas output falls sharply - Energy Min

MOSCOW, June 2 (Reuters) - Gas production by Russia's Gazprom (GAZP.MM) fell in May to 0.98 billion cubic metres (bcm) per day, down 14 percent from 1.15 bcm per day in April, Energy Ministry data showed on Tuesday.

In year-on-year terms, Gazprom's gas production fell by 34 percent.

The data also showed that Russia's oil output was flat versus April at 9.8 million barrels per day and rose 1 percent from May 2008. (Reporting by Gleb Gorodyankin; editing by Maria Kiselyova)
