Ukraine confirms first case of H1N1 flu

KIEV (Reuters) - Ukraine has confirmed its first case of the new H1N1 flu, a Ukrainian who lived in the United States for two years, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

"We received the confirmation from London today," a ministry spokeswoman said. The ministry had said this week it was "99 percent" certain the 24-year-old man who returned to Ukraine after for two years in Detroit had contracted the new flu.
