ST PETERSBURG, Russia, June 6 (Reuters) - Russia's central bank has carried out its annual test of the banking sector but has not stress-tested individual banks, the central bank's first deputy chairman Alexei Ulyukayev said on Saturday.

The distinction appeared to explain the discrepancy between Ulyukayev earlier saying the regulator had not run stress tests on banks, while First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said there had been tests which showed the situation is "not so bad".
