Obama and South Korea's Lee to discuss North Korea
WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - North Korea's decision to sentence two U.S. journalists to 12 years hard labor should not be linked to the dispute over Pyongyang's nuclear program, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Monday.
He said the journalists were innocent and should be freed.
President Barack Obama will meet with South Korean President Lee Myung Bak on June 16 for consultations on North Korea and other issues, the White House said.
