June 9 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2000 GMT on Tuesday.

** GlaxoSmithKline (GSK.L), the world's second biggest drugmaker, has forged an alliance with Shenzhen Neptunus to make flu vaccines for China, boosting its presence in a key emerging market.

** Global and Chinese private equity funds including Bain Capital and FountainVest Partners have submitted bids to buy into a Chinese medical device maker backed by Citigroup (C.N), sources said on Tuesday.

Citi Venture Capital International (CVCI) bought about a 70 percent stake in Landwind, a diagnostic imaging equipment distributor and manufacturer, for about S$127 million ($87 million) in 2007, when the Chinese company decided to delist from the Singapore market, according to Singapore media reports. ** French utility group Veolia (VIE.PA) is looking at ways to combine its transport arm with French transport group Transdev to create a new European leader in the travel sector, it said. [ID:nL9446324 ]

** Australian rail and ports operator Asciano Ltd (AIO.AX) has received four final bids, including proposals from private equity group Carlyle Group [CYL.UL], to either buy the whole company or its assets, two sources briefed about the process told Reuters. [ID:nSYA006046]

** Canadian mining and exploration company Consolidated Thompson CLM.TO said on Tuesday that it had finalized terms of an agreement with China's Wuhan Iron and Steel Corp for a $240 million investment. [ID:nN09364799]

** Italy's Banca Intermobiliare (BIM) (BIM.MI) has accepted the offer from the Segre family's MI.MO.SE for BIM's 50.8 percent stake in real estate company IPI SpA, BIM said. [ID:nL9133489]

** LS Industrial System Co (010120.KS), a South Korean electrical power equipment supplier, said it would set up a 40 billion won ($32.06 million) semiconductor joint venture with German chip maker Infineon Technologies AG (IFXGn.DE) in August. [nSEO59791]

** Validus Holdings Ltd (VR.N) sweetened its bid for IPC Holdings Ltd IPCR.O a second time to $1.72 bln, as it tries to wrest the Bermuda reinsurer away from a deal with rival Max Capital Group Ltd MXGL.O. [nN0897356]

** Canada's Silvercorp Metals Inc (SVM.TO) launched an unsolicited, all-stock bid for Klondex Mines Ltd (KDX.TO) worth about C$70 million ($63.1 million) in an attempt to expand its portfolio and increase its geographic diversification. [nNBNG19872]

** Berkeley Group (BKGH.L) said its largest investor Saudi Arabia's Saad Group has sold 16 million shares in the UK construction company at a discounted 701 pence each.
