SHANGHAI, June 9 (Reuters) - SAIC Motors (600104.SS) may consider raising its vehicle sales target for 2009 and hopes sales growth this year will at least be better than the market, the company's president Chen Hong said on Tuesday.

He told a shareholders' meeting that SAIC was also confident that General Motors Corp GMGMQ.PK, its partner in China, would be able to navigate through bankruptcy. (Reporting by Fang Yan and Jacqueline Wong; Editing by Edmund Klamann)
