Katee Sackhoff to co-star on "24"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jack Bauer will be getting help from Starbuck next season.

In a casting straight out of fan central, Katee Sackhoff, best known for her role as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on "Battlestar Galactica," has been tapped to co-star on another series with a big fan following, Fox's "24."

Sackhoff will play Dana Walsh, an expert data analyst at CTU who is involved with CTU agent Davis Cole (Freddie Prinze Jr.).

She joins fellow new cast members Prinze, Jennifer Westfeldt, Mykelti Williamson, John Boyd and Chris Diamantopoulos on the upcoming eighth season of the series starring Kiefer Sutherland.
