Versace names Gian Giacomo Ferraris as CEO

MILAN, June 9 (Reuters) - Gianni Versace SpA has named Gian Giacomo Ferraris as chief executive, replacing Giancarlo Di Risio, the Italian fashion house said on Tuesday.

Ferraris has been chief executive of the Jil Sander Group since 2004 and has more than 20 years of experience in the luxury goods sector, it said in a statement.

He is to take up his new role on July 15.
