SYDNEY, June 11 (Reuters) - A miner has been trapped underground by a rock fall at BHP Billiton Ltd's (BHP.AX) (BLT.L) West Perseverance nickel mine in western Australia, Australian media reported.

An earth tremor sparked a rock fall at the mine on Wednesday afternoon, the reports said. The miner is safe and uninjured and waiting rescue in an underground refuge chamber, the reports said.
