NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique today announced its celebration of the Summer
Solstice, which occurs on June 21, 2009 at 5:45 a.m., the moment summer
officially begins north of the equator. To kick off the celebration, the
sunglass specialty retailer will be donating 10 percent of all sunglass sales
from its U.S. SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique locations on June 21st to The Climate
Project (www.theclimateproject.org), an international non-profit organization
founded by Al Gore with a mission of increasing public awareness of the global
climate crisis and its solutions.

In addition, for the entire month of June, SOLSTICE will give 100 percent of the
net proceeds from the sale of a specially designed SOLSTICE beach tote to The
Climate Project. To add to the celebration, SOLSTICE wants to reward customers
as well.

From June 10th - July 19th, buy any pair of sunglasses valued at $250.00 or more
and receive the Summer Solstice beach tote FREE (retail value $20.00). Or, with
any $125.00 purchase - the beach tote is available for $10.00. For those eager
to make a difference, purchase the beach tote for its retail value of $20.00 and
SOLSTICE will donate the net profits to The Climate Project.

"Summer Solstice is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate the upcoming
season and, to be able to do so with an organization as inspiring and
progressive as The Climate Project, is something we are truly proud of," said
Rick Talmage, chief operating officer of SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique. "With our
Summer Solstice promotion and partnership with The Climate Project, customers
can leave SOLSTICE feeling good not only about their new sunglasses, but with
the knowledge that a portion of their purchase will help support environmental
responsibility."

What separates SOLSTICE from other sunglass retailers is their unique "hands-on"
open sell retail format. Sunglasses are not kept behind a counter, or under lock
and key; instead, customers are encouraged to freely try on as many pairs as
they like with maximum ease.

The highly trained selling specialists at SOLSTICE are always on hand to assist
in selecting the best sunglasses for a customer`s face shape, size, and
lifestyle. They also keep customers in the know about what sunglasses the
celebrities are wearing - especially as many of them, as well as their stylists
- shop regularly at SOLSTICE.

With over 150 locations in major cities nationwide, SOLSTICE Sunglass Boutique
offers one of the largest selections of designer sunwear of any department store
or sunglass specialty retailer, with over 1,000 pairsfrom which to choose. With
prices starting at $65.00 (in select locations), it`s easy to explore the
hottest collections at SOLSTICE, including, Alexander McQueen, Armani Exchange,
Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, 55 DSL, Diesel, Dior, Emporio Armani, Giorgio
Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Jimmy Choo, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc
Jacobs, Marc Jacobs, Smith, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent, among countless
others, including the new `80s-inspired Carrera vintage sunglasses line.
