HEALTHCARE DESIGN.09 Announces Scholarship Program

NEW YORK, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Vendome Group, publisher of HEALTHCARE
DESIGN and Healthcare Building Ideas magazines and producers of the HEALTHCARE
DESIGN.09 Conference announces the 2009 HEALTHCARE DESIGN Scholarship Program.
The program is designed to provide those who are unable to afford the cost of
the conference an opportunity to apply for a scholarship covering the
full-conference registration fee.

"We believe, as a company and a magazine publisher, that giving back to the
industry is important. The Center for Health Design, along with our
association partners -- the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health, and The
American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) -- provide cutting-edge content.
These scholarships will enable more healthcare and design industry
professionals to attend, which will create an even larger, more diverse
audience that will help to further the conversation of what will affect the
design of healthcare facilities," said Eric Woods VP and Managing Director of

Vendome Group has committed over $20,000 in scholarship funds. "In providing
roughly $20,000 in scholarship money, we hope to enable young and seasoned
professionals alike to attend, and to further their knowledge and impact on
the healthcare industry. With money and budgets being so tight, we truly feel

In 2008, the HEALTHCARE DESIGN Conference attracted more than 300 exhibiting
companies and more than 3,600 attendees. This year, the conference will be
held at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, in Orlando, Florida on
October 31 - November 3.
