Dozens of Cities Hold Day of Action Calling for Aggressive Efforts to Rebuild
Communities, Create Jobs and Homes

WASHINGTON, June 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In over 50 cities tomorrow,
June 11, local consumer, housing and civil rights organizations are holding
public rallies and events calling for economic and financial reforms to create
jobs, rebuild communities and stop foreclosures. The events are held in
partnership with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition as part of a
nationwide Day of Action titled "Jobs and Homes Now." Actions around the
country will highlight local and national economic conditions, such as number
of home foreclosures and job losses, with support for federal solutions,
including anti-predatory lending legislation, strengthening of the Community
Reinvestment Act (CRA) and an expanded national program to stem the
foreclosure crisis.

"As the bailout of the financial system continues, working Americans have been
left behind. Restoring trust and accountability to the financial system while
pursuing immediate efforts to rebuild communities is critical," said John
Taylor, president & CEO of NCRC. "Tomorrow's actions - the number of which are
expanding by the day - are signs of a growing movement for strong financial
and economic reforms."
