Carl C. Icahn Pleased With Results of Biogen Election

NEW YORK, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Carl C. Icahn stated today that he is happy
that Biogen Idec Inc. has agreed that Dr. Alex Denner and Dr. Richard
Mulligan, both director nominees of the Icahn slate, have been elected to the
Biogen board of directors.  He went on to say that he appreciates the support
his slate received from Biogen stockholders and looks forward to the newly
elected directors working  with the other directors to enhance stockholder
value.
