Seoul shares extend gains, up 3 pct

SEOUL, June 10 (Reuters) - Seoul shares extended gains to rise 3 percent on Wednesday afternoon, as key blue chips including Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) turned higher following recent losses and on improving sentiment.

Samsung Electronics was up 3.89 percent and POSCO (005490.KS) gained 3.89 percent.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index .KS11 (KOSPI) had gained 2.86 percent to 1,411.33 points as of 0538 GMT.
