(Adds comment, ICA, details on trading halt, updates quotes)
MEXICO CITY, June 10 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks held onto gains on Wednesday afternoon as trading resumed following a 36-minute halt due to technical problems, but the peso and bonds weakened.
The IPC stock index .MXX rose 0.66 percent to 25,271 points while the peso MEX01 slipped 0.55 percent to 13.6550 per dollar.
"The market is at a strong 25,000-point mark, but any moment we could see profit taking due to its good performance from previous sessions," one trader said.
Mexico's benchmark 10-year bond MX10YT=RR fell 0.598 in price to bid 101.505, pushing its yield up 9 basis points to 8.27 percent.
On Tuesday, the currency and debt markets were pressured by speculation the country's debt rating could be downgraded.
America Movil (AMXL.MX), Latin America's biggest cellphone company, rose 0.96 percent to 25.32 pesos.
Retailer Comercial Mexicana (COMEUBC.MX) gave up earlier gains to trade 2.89 percent loser at 7.39 pesos ahead of a deadline to restructure its debt.
It has until midnight on Wednesday to strike a deal to head off legal action from key creditors, although they could agree for a ninth time to give the retailer more days to negotiate terms of the restructuring.
Countering gains was ICA (ICA.MX), Mexico's leading construction company, whose shares dropped 6.40 percent to 24.14 pesos on news it plans to raise money by selling an undisclosed number of shares on the market. (Reporting by Liz Salazar, Cyntia Barrera Diaz)
