Brazil may sell global bonds again in '09-official

BRASILIA, June 16 | Tue Jun 16, 2009 3:00pm EDT

BRASILIA, June 16 (Reuters) - Brazil's government may sell global bonds in international capital markets again in 2009, Treasury Secretary Arno Augustin said on Tuesday.

Brazil sold an additional $750 million worth of its existing 2019 bond last month, taking advantage of a rebound in global markets and surge in demand for emerging market securities to sell debt at lower costs.

"We may indeed issue again this year," Augustin told reporters. "When and if we find the proper moment, we might retap the market."
