First adoption of Marvell's 88DE2710 video format converter by Sony
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL),

announced that its Marvell(R) 88DE2710 video processor is a featured component
of Sony's high-end BDP-S5000ES Blu-ray player, thus furthering the integration
of Marvell technology into leading consumer electronics devices. Sony's latest
Blu-ray player is designed to offer a consistent, high-quality 1080p image,
vivid true-to-life pictures, and an immersive home theater experience.

The BDP-S5000ES is the first Sony product to use Marvell's 88DE2710 video
format converter. The Blu-ray player offers BD-Live for interactive content
and supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio formats. The Sony Blu-ray disc
player received HiVi's Grand Prix 2009 Video Disc Player Award and AV Review's
Visual Grand Prix 2009 Gold Award. This award winning Blu-ray player is
available now worldwide.
