North American Galvanizing & Coatings, Inc. Announces Opening of Benwood, West
Virginia Facility
TULSA, Okla., June 16, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- North American Galvanizing &
Coatings, Inc. (Nasdaq:NGA) announced today the opening of North American
Galvanizing Company's new facility in Benwood, WV. Construction of the facility
was completed in May at which time the plant commenced a "soft start-up". The
plant, the Company's eleventh facility, is now fully operational and in
commercial mode.
Ronald J. Evans, President and CEO commented, "We are very pleased with the
construction process; the plant was completed on time and on budget. We now look
forward to implementing our marketing program and providing quality hot dip
galvanizing product and service. The new plant, located three miles south of
Wheeling, West Virginia, is centrally located in the vicinity of Interstates 77,
70 and 79 which will allow us to more economically and efficiently service
customers in the tri-state area, as well as in-transit work." A plant grand
opening ceremony is planned for late July in conjunction with the Company's 2009
Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
