July 16: Abstract Art Show, Artist Susan Olmetti Strikes Out at the Jonah Series

Hotel Chelsea

NEW YORK, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Contemporary abstract artist Susan Olmetti
(http://www.susanolmetti.com) will feature her newest works, "The Jonah
Series," along with an installation of her all-wearable art, in a
self-arranged and produced event.

Mercura NYC, founded by exhibitors and sisters Rachel Cohen-Lunning and
Merrille Lichenstien-Cohen, join the event with an exquisitely futuristic
collection. Unique fantasy jewelry, metal fashions and table-mounted
sculptures will be showcased.

Noteworthy celebrations at the show include:

    --  A special tribute to longtime Hotel Chelsea general manager Stanley
Bard
        by Olmetti, Chelsea residents and hotel staff for his 75th birthday
and
        life long contributions to the arts.
    --  The STONEWALL Veterans' Association (S.V.A), a non-profit,
        volunteer, educational organization for Gay, Lesbian, Bi and
Transgender
        (GLBT) rights worldwide, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the
1969
        Stonewall Rebellion.


    --  Noted legendary GLBT activist and Stonewall veteran, "King"
        Storme DeLaverie will make a singing performance of "Stormy
        Weather" in honor of the Stonewall Rebellion.

Susan Olmetti is a recognized artist she has organized and achieved one woman
showings and gallery assignments through her own singular efforts.

As a person who has overcome bipolar disability she's been invited to speak in
front of a number of organizations that support children and adults who
struggle with bipolar disorders. As a result of her ongoing support of the
non-profit organization (S.V.A) STONEWALL Veterans' Association she has been
designated the prize as an honorary member.
