KILLEEN, Texas, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Four-year-old Daniel is starting his
first day of school, or "escuela," as Daniel's mother translates from Spanish.
"Daniel Goes to Preschool" (published by AuthorHouse), the new children's book
by Gayle Hardgrave, takes the preschool readers through their first day of
school.

As Daniel prepares for his first day of preschool, he is excited and ready to
go. "Daniel Goes to Preschool" helps parents, teachers and students understand
what children might be feeling on the first day of school and how to help the
child through the fear of the unknown. Gayle Hardgrave has incorporated
Spanish vocabulary words to help those students who may have a language
obstacle to overcome.

Author Gayle Hardgrave is a former preschool teacher and has observed the
range of emotions children go through on their first day in a new place. She
wrote "Daniel Goes to Preschool" to help teachers and families appreciate
children's emotions and facilitate adjustment.

"Daniel Goes to Preschool" invites the reader to involve children in
discussions of how the day progressed. It gives teachers the opportunity to
show each child how similar they may be. Hardgrave has given preschool
teachers young and old a tool to make their students more comfortable in their
new surroundings.
