Elephant Talk Announces Contract with Vizzavi Espana, a Subsidiary of Vodafone
Group Plc

SCHIPHOL, Netherlands, June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Elephant Talk
Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ETAK), an international telecom and
multimedia content distributor, specializing in carrier grade mobile delivery
platforms, today announced the execution of a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler
(MVNE) contract with Vizzavi Espana, a Vodafone Group company, that enables
Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) to operate voice and data services
over the Vodafone Network in Spain, the world's leading international mobile
communications group. The agreement includes the deployment and operation of a
redundant mobile communications platform for voice, data, SMS/MMS, Media and
Converged technology and many other features, on several locations in Spain.

"We are excited about the newly signed agreement and for the opportunity to
work with Vizzavi, as being part of the Vodafone Group," stated Steven Van der
Velden, CEO of Elephant Talk. "As we continue to grow our business and
increase our offerings it is important that we partner with quality
internationally recognized market leaders. We look forward to operating as a
full MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) to the MVNO market in Spain. This
venture brings us closer to fulfilling our ultimate goal of becoming the
industry leader of the MVNO Enabler market and increasing shareholder value."

Elephant Talk Communications' portfolio covers functionalities from a
redundant network, a fully integrated prepaid and postpaid mobile platform
servicing voice, SMS, MMS, data and videocalls. The Company has full control
over its entire network and mobile platform elements. GMSCs, HLRs, SMSC, MMSC,
IN, STP, GGSN, USSD, VoiceMail, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) &
Billing make the Elephant Talk Mobile platform distinctive in today's MVNE
global market. The solution proposed by Elephant Talk Communication was chosen
by Vizzavi Espana after an extensive research and an in-depth selection
process which involved some of the most significant players in the MVNE arena.

Martin Zuurbier, Chief Technical Officer of Elephant Talk, commented on the
importance of providing the MVNOs of Vizzavi Espana with a complete portfolio
of services. "Together with our CRM & Billing system and end to end business
processing support, this enables Vizzavi Espana to concentrate on their core
business of attracting and retaining new subscribers in targeted segments of
the market. Elephant Talk has developed our platform in house, thus we have a
strong advantage of being independent of suppliers. In addition, our internal
experts are constantly improving our technology capabilities which allows us
to keep delivery times to an absolute minimum and allows us to add customer
specific functionalities quickly."

Mr. Zuurbier concluded, "Elephant Talk integrates the necessary Networks and
IT technologies that provide the means for Convergent, Personalized, and
Branded Services to MVNOs, targeting markets such as Finance, Media, Ethnic or
Communities. With our wide range of product offerings, services and developed
platforms Elephant Talk is ready for the 'next phase' in Telecom. With the
growing usage of mobile Internet services we will be able to help protect and
expand our customers' business."

more efficiently provide a broad range of sophisticated services to their own
existing base of MVNOs. Elephant Talk is positioning itself as the preferred
MVNE partner of the larger, global Mobile Operators and currently operates
sophisticated networks in over a dozen markets in Europe, Asia Pacific, and
