Training, Education and On-Site Staffing Among Offerings to Reduce
Environmental Impact and Operating Costs

MINNEAPOLIS, June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today
introduced several new services to provide customers with the resources and
tools to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The offerings, which include
training, education and on-site staffing, add to the company's portfolio of
energy and environmental services designed to help schools, universities,
municipalities and other organizations meet their sustainability goals while
making smart financial decisions.

Through sustainability training and awareness, Honeywell will help customers
keep their staff, including facility personnel, up to date on environmental
initiatives and conservation methods. The training, customized for each group,
highlights the ecological impact of sustainability programs, and aims to make
employees part of the effort to reduce energy consumption and emissions.

Honeywell will also provide the tools and support to help communicate internal
efforts and results to external audiences -- online, in print and in person.
As a result, organizations are better equipped to build awareness among key
stakeholders and surrounding communities, and keep these audiences abreast of
goals, progress and overall climate impact.

"The road to sustainability is relatively new and many organizations don't
have the expertise or resources to plot the most direct, efficient route,"
said Paul Orzeske, president of Honeywell Building Solutions. "Backed by
decades of energy leadership, our sustainability services cover the points
that affect environmental initiatives, leaving organizations confident that
they're taking the proper steps to meet their sustainability targets."

Another new offering is sustainability education, which helps K-12 schools,
colleges and universities develop curriculum for teaching green concepts. The
service provides a guide for teaching sustainability, from leveraging
renewable energy to calculating carbon footprints. Organizations will learn
how to use their buildings as teaching tools so students can see the impact of
energy efficiency and conservation measures first hand.

To increase the effectiveness of the sustainability training, awareness and
education services, Honeywell uses Windows on the World (WOW)(TM), a
sustainability management and information system from Powersmiths
International Corp. WOW augments sustainability efforts, including outreach
and education, carbon emissions reporting, as well as continuous commissioning
and performance validation of building systems. It collects an organization's
usage data from electricity, gas and water meters, and presents real-time
information -- consumption, emissions, etc. -- in a single, easy-to-read view.
WOW also includes both a kiosk and Web interface, which makes it easy to share
data internally and externally.

In addition to training, awareness and education services, Honeywell now
offers sustainability director staffing. Many organizations have made
extensive environmental commitments and are now seeking a dedicated resource
to help meet those goals. Honeywell sustainability directors bring management
and technical consulting expertise to serve as an on-site resource for
developing strategies to reduce carbon emissions. Directors facilitate
interaction and collaboration among departments within an organization as
well, and drive sustainability initiatives. This includes solutions planning,
project execution, and measurement and verification.

"By turning to Honeywell to fill this position, organizations get an
experienced resource with the right skill set to carry out their
sustainability commitments," Orzeske said.

The new sustainability services are part of a larger Honeywell suite of
offerings, including energy retrofits and upgrades, renewable energy projects,
performance contracting and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory service, which
measures and provides a comprehensive snapshot of an organization's verifiable
GHG emissions. Combined, these offerings address many aspects that contribute
to an organization's sustainability.

Honeywell is a global leader in energy and environmental services, working
with organizations to conserve energy, optimize building operations and
leverage renewable energy sources. It was one of four energy services
companies selected at the outset of the Clinton Climate Initiative to help the
world's largest cities reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
This work has extended to the American College and University Presidents
Climate Commitment and other groups.

Since the 1980s, Honeywell has completed more than 5,000 energy-efficiency
projects in facilities across the globe. It also has helped 5 million
homeowners decrease their energy use through its work with utilities. These
projects are expected to deliver more than $5 billion in energy and
operational savings.

Overall, nearly 50 percent of Honeywell's product portfolio company-wide is
linked to energy efficiency. The company estimates the global economy could
operate on 10 to 25 percent less energy by using today's existing Honeywell
technologies.
