SANTA CRUZ, Calif., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Six prestigious members of the
National Institutes of Health have joined Bio Career Center
(www.BioCareerCenter.com), the nation's leading online jobs board and careers
site for life science professionals.

The NIH has the highest number of post-doctoral professionals at any
scientific institute in the country. The six NIH organizations that have
joined include the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the
National Institute of Child Health, the National Heart, Lung and Blood
Institute, the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases,
the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute of
Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases.

"These institutes represent more than 40 percent of NIH's post-graduate
trainees and the majority of its trainees in the biomedical field," said Bio
Career Center founder Nick Folger. "This is a major addition to our
consortium."

The jobs board, www.BioCareerCenter.com, is only for post-graduates in the
life sciences. While there are hundreds of life science career sites on the
Internet, Bio Career Center is the only one that serves life science
post-graduates exclusively.

Bio Career Center's institution consortium already consists of Stanford,
Berkeley, Brown, Caltech, Columbia, Emory, Georgetown, M.D. Anderson, Michigan
State, New York University, Scripps Institute, University of California, Los
Angeles, University of California at San Francisco, University of Colorado
Denver, University of Miami, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill,
University of Pennsylvania, University of Washington, Vanderbilt and Weill
Cornell.

Developed with the Stanford Medical School director of career services,
www.biocareercenter.com is constructed for Ph.D.s, M.D.s and other
post-graduates who are looking for efficient ways to manage their careers.
From industry articles and assessment tools to relevant job postings, Bio
Career Center is a comprehensive and free career resource center. Job seekers
have access to opportunities including academia, biopharmaceutical and
government as well as vertical markets like consulting, public health and
science policy.

Bio Career Center organizes qualified candidates to save recruiters time and
shorten the hiring process. The site has become an industry leader because it
offers employers high-quality candidates with strong life sciences educational
backgrounds. In fact, nearly half of Bio Career Center's candidates are
alumni. Other job boards include applicants from a host of fields and
education levels, requiring employers to sort through stacks of resumes that
are not targeted to their needs.

About Bio Career Center
Bio Career Center features a jobs board that gathers the life sciences
post-graduate and clinical communities of all member schools (including the
alumni of the members, which account for more than 50 percent of the
candidates) into one place, a staff that liaises with employers, and deep and
rich content that focuses on the many career options for life sciences Ph.D.s
and M.D.s. Bio Career Center can be accessed via member (university) Web sites
or at www.BioCareerCenter.com. The service is free to students and alumni of
member institutions.
