World Refugee Day Celebration: June 20th 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the North
Regional Wake County Public Library

RALEIGH, N.C., June 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A Celebration of World
Refugee Day will be held at the North Regional Wake County Public Library from
1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009. The event is hosted by Lutheran
Family Services in the Carolinas (LFS Carolinas) and North Regional Wake
County Public Library. The celebration will include art, cinema and crafts
from refugees who have resettled in the Raleigh area.

WHY: The United States continues to be the single largest refugee resettlement
country in the world. The celebration in Raleigh honors the many contributions
made by refugees in the Triangle Region.

LFS Carolinas has served the Carolinas' most vulnerable people since 1976. The
agency grew from the roots of Lutheran Orphanage of the South, founded in 1888
