Smithsonian Channel(TM) 'STORIES FROM THE VAULTS' with Host Tom Cavanagh,
Premieres Second Season

Series captivates with 7 half-hour episodes starting July 12

WASHINGTON, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Smithsonian Channel's second season of
STORIES FROM THE VAULTS, hosted by Tom Cavanagh, will premiere Sunday, July 12
at 8pm ET/PT.

The first season of STORIES FROM THE VAULTS won the hearts of audiences and
critics alike, garnering the Gold New York Film Festivals award for Magazine
Format, the Gold Parents Choice Foundation award, and the CINE Golden Eagle
Award.

STORIES FROM THE VAULTS season two topics range from crystal ball clairvoyance
to investigations of criminal characters. The season premiere devours the
topic of food in a fun but educational lesson in three different museum
locations, concluding with host Tom Cavanagh's visit to the National Museum of
Dentistry to explore the effect of food on our teeth. Later in the series,
Cavanagh brings the issue of conservation to a head and shines a light on what
the curators, conservators and scientists at the Smithsonian Institution are
doing to protect our world. 

Tom Cavanagh is best known for the long-running NBC series, "Ed" and recently
has appeared in "Trust Me", "Scrubs" and "Eli Stone." Pamela Caragol Wells is
the executive producer of the series. Wells is best known for her work on
National Geographic Channel's "Taboo" and the award-winning "False Memories."
