Video Feed: Governor Rendell Proposes Temporary Tax Increase; Cutting Billions
in State Spending to Balance $3.2 Billion Deficit

The Pennsylvania Satellite News Service will provide a digital satellite video
feed between 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. (15:15 - 15:30 Eastern) TODAY,Tuesday,
June 16, of Governor Edward G. Rendell proposing a mix of remedies to balance
the state's budget deficit, including a temporary increase of one-half percent
in the state's personal income tax to 3.57 percent. The law would require the
tax to return to 3.07 percent after three years. The temporary increase would
raise approximately $1.5 billion per year in new revenue.
