Voith Hydro to Represent Hydropower Industry at Green Jobs Leadership Summit
on Capitol Hill

Hydropower continues to gain importance as part of America's energy solution

YORK, Pa., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Voith Hydro was invited to participate in
the first-ever Green Jobs Leadership Summit hosted by the Congressional
leadership in Washington, D.C. on June 17. The event will highlight renewable
resource companies, and includes a keynote address from Vice President Joe
Biden.

Voith was nominated to attend the summit by Sen. Arlen Specter(D-Pa). As the
leading producer of renewable hydro energy technology, Voith is the only
hydropower company invited.

Headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, Voith Hydro is an innovative,
fast-growing company creating renewable hydro energy solutions. Voith Hydro
produces cost-efficient - and environmentally friendly - equipment for
hydropower dams, which harness the natural power of water into clean, reliable
and renewable power.

Voith CEO E. Mark Garner will attend Wednesday's summit as one of just 30
business leaders who will join members of Congress, labor organizers and key
environmental groups to discuss ways to support America's clean energy
economy, the creation of green jobs, and training our nation's workforce for
those jobs.

"Voith Hydro's commitment to creating renewable energy solutions makes the
company an excellent representative for Pennsylvania at the Summit," said Sen.
Arlen Specter. "Their experience in the growing field of hydropower will add
an important perspective to the discussion on creating green jobs and clean
energy."

President Obama toured and met with workers at Voith Hydro's manufacturing
plant in York, Pa. while on the campaign trail in September 2008. During that
visit, Garner stressed the huge potential hydropower represents for America's
efforts to build a green economy.

"A clean, inexpensive, renewable source of energy right here in America,
Hydropower has huge growth potential both as part of our nation's energy
solution and creating good-paying green jobs," said Voith CEO Mark Garner.
"We're pleased to help showcase this clean, green, renewable power source
during the summit."

"AMP-Ohio and Voith Hydro are taking leadership roles in bringing clean energy
to Ohio," said Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio). "Ohioans deserve access to
affordable sources of clean energy. These hydroelectric projects will bring
economic development to the region and provide a source of
domestically-produced, clean energy."

Currently the United States gets only 8 percent of its electricity from
hydroelectric power, but the industry could double its capacity utilizing new
technologies, new installations and modernization of existing facilities. That
could also create more good-paying jobs and lower electricity rates for the
U.S.

workforce of approximately 3,000 employees and an order intake of more than
