As television broadcasting across the U.S. converts to digital transmission,
many individuals will be replacing their analog televisions with new digital
models. eLoop will recycle televisions, computers, monitors, cell phones, and
other digital equipment in an environmentally safe way without shipping
material overseas. eLoop will provide an onsite data destruction system to
destroy hard drives for those individuals that are concerned about recycling a
PC or a laptop. Details can be found at www.eloopllc.com.
According to Ned Eldridge, president, eLoop llc, "More than 138,000 tons of
e-waste ends up in Pennsylvania landfills every year. Over time, the improper
disposal of televisions and other electronic devices will lead to
environmental poisons leaking into our soil. eLoop operates in a completely
above-board fashion, and we pride ourselves on our environmental stewardship
with our recycling processes. We're proud to collaborate with Global Links
and the Pennsylvania Resources Council on this recycling effort."
