eTelecare Names Gilbert Santa Maria Head of Philippines Operations

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- eTelecare Global
Solutions (PSE: ETEL), a leading provider of complex business process
outsourcing (BPO) solutions, announced that it has appointed Gilbert Santa
Maria as Senior Vice President, Philippine Operations, with responsibility for
eTelecare's over 10,000 professionals and seven sites. He will be replacing
Benedict Hernandez who will be pursuing other career opportunities.

"Gilbert is uniquely qualified for his new role, given his almost 20 years of
experience in general management, management consulting and private equity,
and his extensive involvement with eTelecare's activities in both the
Philippines and the US," said John Harris, President and Chief Executive
Officer of eTelecare.

From 2004 to 2007, Santa Maria was Vice President in charge of eTelecare's
Technical Support Business Unit. While leading this unit, he worked with many
of the company's teams in Manila and the US to grow programs with several
multinational clients by almost four times. This helped to lay the groundwork
for eTelecare's strong technical support business and client-centric culture. 

Since 2007, Santa Maria has led eTelecare's Corporate Development activities
and spearheaded the acquisitions of AOL Clark and South Africa operations and
the start-up of the company's Nicaragua location.

Prior to joining eTelecare, Santa Maria worked as General Manager of Pepsi in
Manila, Chief Operating Officer of a technology company in Singapore that was
sold to eBay, Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton in New York and
Private Equity professional at an Asian affiliate of New York-based private
equity firm Warburg Pincus.  He holds an MBA from the Yale School of
Management and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of the
Philippines.
