Spain's Banco Popular rules out acquisitions

SANTANDER, Spain, June 16 (Reuters) - Spain's Banco Popular (POP.MC) is not considering acquisitions for the moment and instead will concentrate on organic growth, the bank's chairman Angel Ron said on Tuesday.

"We are not interested in acqusitions and we don't think this moment (of uncertainty) is the time to do it," Ron said during a conference in the northern Spanish town of Santander. (Reporting by Paul Day and Jesus Aguado; editing by Jason Webb)
