Obama says Iran should not suppress people's voices
WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama, reacting to post-election violence in Iran, said on Tuesday he believed "people's voices should be heard and not suppressed" in the Islamic republic.
Obama, at a news conference with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, also said he did not want to be seen as "meddling" in Iranian internal affairs given the two countries' rocky history.
