MASSACHUSETTS MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE CO
MassMutual named Roger Crandall chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2010. Chief Executive Officer Stuart Reese will step down from that position and assume the role of non-executive chairman of the board. Crandall, 44, has served as president and chief operating officer since December 2008.
MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)
Morgan Stanley said James Hance has been elected to the company's board, effective July 1. This will bring the total size of the board to 13 members.
COAST ASSET MANAGEMENT
The multi-strategy alternative investment firm appointed hedge fund industry veteran Roy Callahan as a portfolio manager and member of its investment committee.
MOELIS & CO
Boutique investment bank Moelis & Co said it hired Kevin Scheetz as managing director in technology. Scheetz was most recently head of the semiconductors and electronics investment banking franchise at Merrill Lynch.
SUN LIFE FINANCIAL INC (SLF.TO)
Canada's No. 3 insurer said it had appointed Colm Freyne as interim chief financial officer, effective July 1. [ID:nN22497120]
CANTOR FITZGERALD
The financial services firm said David Stith joined its investment banking group as managing director, head of leveraged finance and financial sponsor coverage. Stith was most recently at Merrill Lynch & Co.
AVIVA PLC
The insurance group appointed Jon Bunn as corporate affairs and communications director in Europe. Bunn was previously group public relations director at Prudential.
MF GLOBAL LTD MF.N
The global commodity futures brokerage named Laurie Ferber as its new general counsel and a member of the Office of the Chief Executive. Before joining the firm, Ferber was general counsel and chief regulatory officer for International Derivatives Clearing Group.
GE CAPITAL REAL ESTATE
The firm said it appointed Skip Wells as fund manager for senior secured debt investments to its global investment management team. Wells joins from GE Capital Real Estate's strategic capital group, where he was managing director of originations.
GROVE STREET ADVISORS
The private equity investment advisory firm said Josh Lerner has become a senior adviser to the firm.
MARSH
The insurance broker and risk adviser said it appointed Wendie Le Vey to lead its public sector business in the southern region. Le Vey has been employed by Marsh since 2006 and will retain her current role of client service director in the southern region.
INTEGRATED MORTGAGE SOLUTIONS
The company named Gerald Aust as senior vice president of sales and client relations. Prior to joining IMS, Aust was at Mortgage Bankers Association.
RODMAN & RENSHAW CAPITAL GROUP INC (RODM.O)
The firm said it appointed Jason Reimbold as vice president of the Rodman energy group, effective May 18. Reimbold joins Rodman from PLS Inc and will be based in their Houston office.
SIGNATURE BANK (SBNY.O)
The full-service commercial bank said it appointed Barbara von Borstel as group director and senior vice president. Most recently, von Borstel was at TD Bank as a relationship banker.
SWISS BANKERS ASSOCIATION
Patrick Odier, senior partner at Geneva's oldest private bank, Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie, will replace Pierre Mirabaud as chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association. Odier will begin his new role on Sept. 17. [ID:nLM6636]
INTERNOS REAL INVESTORS LLP
The firm said it appointed Richard Peskin as chairman. Previously, Peskin was chairman of Great Portland Estates.
EXECUTION LTD
The agency broker said James Goldstone has joined as a senior sales person in the firm's London office. Goldstone was previously a director at Dresdner Kleinwort.
LIONTRUST ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC
The asset management firm said it appointed Ross Hollyman to Global Value, Global Earnings Surprise and Global Multi-Factor equity investment processes, with effect from January 2010.
