UPDATE 1-Bill Barrett to offer $200 mln of senior notes

June 24 (Reuters) - Bill Barrett Corp (BBG.N) said it intends to offer $200 million of senior notes due 2016, and use the net proceeds to repay debt.

The oil and gas producer said the notes will be unsecured, unsubordinated obligations of the company, and its subsidiaries will initially guarantee the notes.

Banc of America Securities LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc will be the joint book-running managers for the offering.
