Marie Robinson Honored for Vision and Execution of Supply Chain Overhaul
ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
Aldata Solution, Inc., a leading provider of software solutions for the retail
industry, today announced that Marie Robinson, Senior Vice President, supply
chain operations, for Aldata customer Smart & Final, has been selected by
Progressive Grocer magazine as one of the 2009 "Top Women in Grocery." Robinson
and fellow nominees appear in the June/July 2009 issue of Progressive Grocer
magazine and will be honored on November 2, 2009 at Progressive Grocer`s
Corporate Social Responsibility Awards, which will be held during the Grocery
Manufacturers Association (GMA) Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing Conference
at the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix, Ariz.

Selection for the Top Women in Grocery list is a meticulous process based on
nominations from within the industry and on strict criteria set out by
Progressive Grocer`s team of editors. "I was more involved than ever in this
year`s judging for our third Annual Top Women in Grocery and the entries were
incredible," said Olivia Wilson, publisher of Progressive Grocer. "We received
more than 400 entries and it was very difficult to select the top 100. They are
all very deserving in one way or another."

Robinson assumed the task of re-engineering Smart & Final`s supply chain
operations, including the location and design of distribution centers, product
flow channels and system infrastructure. Robinson`s initiatives to consolidate
all of Smart & Final`s supply chain operations into a single system helped
streamline company operations, save money and position the company for growth.

"The ability to undertake a significant project such as overhauling an entire
supply chain required support and commitment from everyone at Smart & Final as
well as our technology partners, such as Aldata and its G.O.L.D. retail suite,"
Robinson said. "While I have been singled out for this award, it is really a
testament to the hard work and efforts of everyone at Smart & Final. I thank
Progressive Grocer for this recognition and will continue to help push the
boundaries within the grocery industry."

"Marie Robinson and Aldata have had a long-standing relationship, and during
that time, we have known her to be a visionary in every way. She understands
grocery inside and out and knows what it takes to streamline operations," said
Brendan Lowe, Vice President, Aldata, North America. "We`re thrilled that Marie
and Smart & Final have been honored by Progressive Grocer magazine and pleased
that the Aldata G.O.L.D. retail suite has been an integral part of Smart &
Final`s evolution."
