Student Transportation (STA) to Unveil New Alternative Fuel Vehicles at Open
House

    STA Driving Clean, Green Vehicles to Serve Students In San Fernando
    Valley


NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA, June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Student Transportation
of America, Inc. (STA) today announced it will host an Open House event at
their facility on Wednesday July 1, 12560 Raymer Street in North Hollywood.
The Open House begins at 10:00 a.m., presentations of STA's commitment to
utilizing alternative fuel vehicles that drive down greenhouse gases and
emissions will start at 11 a.m.
STA has purchased over 70 propane fueled vehicles for this new contract with
the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and have installed a new
state-of-the-art 15,000 gallon propane fueling station that is safe,
environmentally friendly, and fast filling.
An industry leader in "green" fuel initiatives, STA, in 2007, received grants
toward the purchase of Compressed Natural Gas buses for its Riverside, Ca.
operations. The company also operates the largest fleet of biodiesel-fueled
buses in Ontario, Canada, where it operates as Student Transportation of
Canada.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day and STA management is inviting
the general public along with LAUSD officials, local government officials,
members of the police and fire department, other school district leaders, and
key members of the transportation press.
