year of greats`

CHICAGO--(Business Wire)--
The Chicago chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators
(IABC/Chicago) has announced the winners of the 2009 IABC/Chicago Bronze Quill
Awards.

"Our 11 Bronze Quill award winners tackled a wide range of communication
challenges, from promoting a new product to explaining changes in employee
benefits," said Katie Schuyler, director of awards for IABC/Chicago and online
and emerging media manager at Point B Communications. "While the entrants had
different objectives and different stories to tell, they all set the bar for
excellence in business communication. Despite this tough economy, they helped
achieve their organizations` goals by setting clear objectives, then
implementing effective, creative communication strategies that garnered
measurable results."

The Bronze Quill Awards recognize marketing and communications professionals for
their excellence in developing and executing business communication programs.
The competition (formerly the Spectra Awards) is related to IABC`s Silver Quill
(regional) and Gold Quill (international) awards programs. Bronze Quill entrants
were Chicago-area business communicators who completed a significant
communication project in 2008 that embodied excellence in two categories: Works
(specific tactics that support the strategic communication process) and Strategy
(projects, programs, and campaigns defined by a communication plan).

Additional information on the 2009 award winners can be viewed on the
