Michigan Health & Hospital Association Elects 2009 Officers and Board Members

LANSING, Mich., June 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Members of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) elected new officers and board members during the association's Annual Membership Meeting today. Officers of the 2009 MHA Board of Trustees include Frank J. Sardone, chairman; Spencer Maidlow, chairman-elect; and Douglas Strong, treasurer. The board directs the Lansing-based association's statewide representation of hospitals and health care providers. Sardone, president/CEO, Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc., Kalamazoo, will serve as chairman during the association's 2009-2010 program year beginning July 1. The terms of service of Maidlow, president & CEO, Covenant Medical Center, Inc., Saginaw, and Strong, director/CEO, University of Michigan Hospitals & Health Centers, Ann Arbor, will also span the 2009-2010 program year. Nancy M. Schlichting, president and chief executive officer, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, will serve as immediate past chairwoman.
